Product company BETER is looking for Manual QA to ensure high-quality sports analytics products.

If you want to learn automated testing in addition to manual testing, like to overcome technical difficulties when implementing products, and also maintain and enhance the engineering culture in a team of professionals, then this position is for you. :)

What do you have to do?

  • 5+ years of experience in the position of QA Engineer.
  • Testing of new functionality (mostly manual, it will be great if sometimes you can do it automated).
  • Conducting regression testing and smoke testing.
  • Creation of bug reports, and preparation of test reports.
  • Updating documentation.
  • Actively participates in cross-functional teams and assists teams in maintaining high product quality.
  • Participation in team meetings: stand-ups, grooming and task assessment, planning, retro, etc.

Important for the position:

  • Experience in testing browser applications, including SPA, as well as backend services (REST API).
  • Ability to analyze business requirements, find possible contradictions, and report them.
  • Experience in writing checklists, test cases, test plans, and testing reports.
  • Good understanding of modern testing approaches as well as SDLC.
  • Understanding of HTTP protocols, how the browser works, working with cookies and local storage, and understanding of CSS/HTML.
  • Good skills with Chrome Dev Tools, and Transparent Proxies for testing.
  • Experience with bug-tracking systems and understanding of typical processes in IT teams.
  • Understanding of the principles of client-service application architecture.

It will be a plus:

  • Experience writing Software Requirements Specifications.
  • Experience using Postman.
  • Experience in participating in or independently conducting load testing.
  • Experience testing to find security holes.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Ability to read Kibana logs and draw conclusions based on them.
  • Experience in API/UI testing automation.
