Polygon Media(a branch of Polygon Consulting doo) is excited to announce a new opportunity as part of our collaboration with BETER, a leading international provider of eSports and sports content. Together, we deliver 24/7 live broadcasts, supported by live data, covering over 45,000 events monthly.
As we continue to expand our capacity and grow into new areas, we are looking for a Video & Technical Engineer to join our team in Belgrade.
Responsibilities
- Administration of video mixing software (vMix), including low-level configuring and maintaining the system for broadcasts.
- Preparing, setting up, switching, monitoring, and maintaining equipment for broadcasts and streaming, including cameras, webcams, HDMI splitters, and encoders.
- Providing technical support on location for the staff, new projects and complying with given technical tasks.
- Quickly identifying and resolving technical issues related to equipment or software.
- Implementing innovative solutions, automating workflows, and optimizing equipment.
- Managing equipment warranties and licenses, including tracking and support.
- Coordinating with external technical services and service centers.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff.
- Control technical household services and location access services.
Required skills and experience
- Strong PC configuration skills, including server equipment setup.
- Familiarity with computer network principles.
- Experience with streaming protocols (RTMP, RTSP, HLS, Mpeg, SRT).
- Knowledge of video signal interface standards (SDI, HDMI, DP, VGA).
- Understanding of video encoding standards (HEVC, H264, H265, FFmpeg).
- Hands-on experience with mixing and streaming software (vMix, OBS).
- Administrator-level PC management.
- Minor equipment repairs and liaising with service centers for equipment maintenance.
Advantageous Skill
- Knowledge of NewTek NDI.
- Familiarity with libraries like ffmpeg, libavcodec.
- Installation of video/audio equipment.
- Experience with Blackmagic hardware.
- Basic skills in graphic design and video editing (raster, vector).
